Who are the Oakland Raiders most important departed characters?
Just when the Raiders fans could see a slight glimpse of light through the permanent cloud that’s settled over this franchise, the light may have been taken away with the departure of offensive coordinator, Greg Olson. Olson had rookie quarterback Derek Carr looking like a legit NFL player last year. Without Olson, fans are afraid of a JaMarcus Russel-like backslide in Carr’s play this year.
Who are the Oakland Raiders most important new characters?
The single most convincing argument against Carr’s regression is the presence of rookie wide receiver, Amari Cooper. Cooper was drafted fourth overall in this year’s draft by the Raiders. The Alabama receiver won the Beletnikoff award last year for the best college receiver and projects into a very good NFL player who can make an immediate impact. The Raiders also lured center Rodney Hudson away from their division rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs. Hudson is in the top-tier of NFL centers and should provide another boost to an offense in need of boosts.
